Walk-in customers are something many businesses live by.  The number of people who actually visit the establishment just by walking by, noticing it AND deciding to stop in are what fuels many businesses in today’s economy.

One of the most important ways of making these customers aware of your business existence is a good old sign.  Here are a number of tips to improve the effectiveness of this kind of advertising with your storefront business signage.

  1. Keep It Simple
    • Is your sign legible and easy to read?  If a customer can’t read it – it will be ignored.
    • Fancy fonts are not necessary to convey your basic message.
    • Limit your number of words to a handful.
  2.  Be Visible
    • Place your sign for maximum readability and visibility.
    • Walk by your establishment using the eyes of your customers.
    • Where are your eyes drawn?
    • Place your sign where you believe your customers have the best chance of seeing it.
