Is Your Sign Fading Away - Refurb or Replace? - Signs & More

Posted by Signs & More on Tue, Sep 07, 2010 @ 08:48 AM

Take a look at your sign.  Is it still fresh and exciting or is it faded and dated?  You may want to think of how to update your image.  You need to decide to replace or refurbish.  After checking your budget you may find it best to refurbish.

If your logo is still stylish or unchangeable due to franchise branding, the only decision you need to make is to cleanup and review the necessary changes according to deterioration due to age.  These changes will be determined by how weathered the sign has become, such as color fading, lights burned out or storm/hail damage.  All these updates should be handled by a competent sign company and not performed by the owner due to complications of installation and location of sign (potential injury to inexperienced person).  This includes a simple cleanup job.  If the sign is above ground on a pedestal, installed over the entrance or above the business in any way, a bucket truck will be necessary to do the job correctly.

If however you find the refurbishing to be extensive, this maybe the perfect time to update you logo and branding or just give your sign more “pop”.  You may consider simply adding to your existing sign.  Now may be a good time to install that digital readerboard sign you have been budgeting for.

Whether you are replacing the acrylic faces of your channel letters due to color fading, need to replace some lettering because of chipping or want to upgrade to a digital readerboard, give Signs & More, Inc. a call (770-383-8808) and let us give your old sign some new pop.
