Are you just starting your business?  You have just gotten your business license but you know it will be another two or three weeks before you can open your doors.  It is not too early to start informing the public who you are and where.

A temporary sign is the best and least expensive way to put your name in front of the public - knowing you will need to change to a permanent sign later.  This temporary sign will also create excitement & anticipation for when you do open.

There are many options as to the type of material to use for a temporary sign.  The most common is the banner.  This is a vinyl sheet that can be made to lie flat on a wall, hang from a pole or be stretched between support posts.  This type material is also versatile enough to be sewn together and slipped over an existing sign, in a “pillow case” or “toaster cover” fashion.

Another inexpensive temporary sign might be a coroplast sign with vinyl letters and logo.  This sign limits itself to having to be attached to a flat surface or placed between two posts for support or using a stand stuck in the ground if the sign is not too large.

Who else may be in need of a temporary sign?  Many times we see the “Going Out Of Business” signs.  Most of the time these will be made of vinyl and often we see this same sign hanging for a couple of years.  Another temporary use of a sign is when there is a seasonal sale in progress. The company may want to promote an item for only a few months at a time and want to easily store the sign away until the same time next year. A vinyl banner can be rolled up and stored in a relatively small space.  Even a coroplast sign can be easily moved about since it is so light weight, but it lends itself to being easily scratched and marred if moved often and it takes more space to store.
